Tuesday night shooting under investigation in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — Cedar Rapids police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured.

According to a Cedar Rapids police news release, officers were called to 1612 Park Towne Place NE at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said the victim — who is not identified in the news release — was shot outside of the apartment building and then went to ask for help.

The man was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries. Police said his condition is unknown.
