Three dead after Iowa County crash

Three people died in a crash in Iowa County on Friday, according to an Iowa State Patrol report.

18-year-old Chad Owens of North English, 19-year-old Kaitlyn Cook of Deep River, 19-year-old Michael Galyon of Williamsburg and 21-year-old Anna Townsend of South English were driving eastbound on 240th street when their vehicle lost control and entered in to the south ditch. It then overturned into a creek, according to the report.

Townsend was the only survivor, she was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals. Her condition has not been released.

The crash is currently under investigation by Iowa State Patrol.
