Dubuque Street reopens after gas leak
Portions were closed for about 3 hours
IOWA CITY — Dubuque Street is reopened after being closed because of a gas leak Monday.
MidAmerican crews originally estimated that portions of the road would be blocked off for six to eight hours beginning around 1 p.m., according to a media release. But the reopening of the street came about three hours after the announcement of its closing.
The city originally closed about a mile of Dubuque Street, between Ronalds Street and Foster Road, before quickly scaling back the closure to Park Road and Ronalds Street.
