CANCELED: Operation Quickfind: Loren Jenkins

UPDATE: Loren Jenkens has been located, according to an update from the Cedar Rapids Police Department.


The Cedar Rapids Police Department is looking for information on the whereabouts of a 68-year-old man with some mental impairments who has been reported missing since Tuesday night.

According to the Operation Quickfind document, Loren Jenkins, 68, was last seen at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday night at 210 16th St. SE, Cedar Rapids. This address matches the address of the person who reported Jenkins missing.

Jenkins is described in the document as being a white male, five foot, nine inches in height and weighing 180 pounds. He has a shaved head and blue eyes. The document states that he was wearing a red T-shirt with black lettering, gray shorts, and black shoes. He has scars on both his knees, according to the document.

The document also lists some mental ailments that Jenkins suffers from: moderate dementia, seizures (that he has not taken today’s prescribed medicine for). and “partial mental retardation.”

The reporting party states in the document that Jenkins may be in downtown Cedar Rapids walking around, and sometimes will visit Greene Square.
