Marion police investigating armed robbery at Fas Mart

Photos show suspect, plus woman in store just before robbery

MARION — Marion police are investigating an early morning armed robbery.

According to the police department, around 1:26 a.m. Friday, a man entered the Fas Fuel, 998 Eighth Ave., displayed a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes. The suspect the fled out the front door, west and then north behind the business, police said.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect was described as a white man with facial hair, wearing white tennis shoes, long black shorts, a black and red hoodie with the number 3 on the right shoulder and a red billed hat.

Police are also trying to locate a woman who was in the store just before the robbery. She was described as a white woman with dark hair and wearing a yellow jacket.

Police have released security camera footage of both individuals.
