CEDAR RAPIDS — An Indiana man faces multiple felony charges after police say he attacked multiple people with a knife in Cedar Rapids.
According to Cedar Rapids police complaints, 29-year-old Merwin Coleman, of Michigan City, Ind., stabbed two people with a knife — causing serious injuries to both — at the 600 block of Eighth Avenue SW on Tuesday. A third individual cut his hand while trying to grab the knife from Coleman, police say.
Coleman faces two Class D felonies for assault causing serious injury and a serious misdemeanor charge for assault causing bodily injury.
