Cedar Rapids man accused of hiding drugs in body
Discovery made during booking at Linn County Jail
CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man is accused of concealing drugs in his body when he was booked at the Linn County Jail.
According to the Linn County Attorney’s Office, 30-year-old Jordan F. Fetter was taken into custody Thursday morning after police found him carrying marijuana, a scale and syringes on the Third Avenue bridge.
Authorities said during a strip search, a bottle of Lortab pills fell out of Fetter’s anus. Lortab — also known as hydrocodone — is an opioid painkiller.
Fetter allegedly told deputies that he had forgotten that he placed the drugs in his anus.
Fetter has been charged with introducing intoxicants or drugs into an institution, possession of marijuana an possession of drug paraphernalia. He was previously convicted of possession of precursors in 2011 and possession of a controlled substance in 2008, authorities said.
