Linn County running priority snow plow routes in response to Monday's storm

Linn County Secondary Roads Department has begun running Priority Snow Truck Routes.

Linn County is at the southern edge of a Winter Weather Advisory from the National Weather Service. According to the alert: “A strong storm system will continue to bring a wintry mix of rain, sleet, and snow to portions of eastern Iowa and northwest

Illinois into this evening. With surface and road temperatures above freezing the roadways will be primarily wet. However, areas that see bursts of sleet and snow could see some slippery and slushy roads. Poor visibility is also expected in the periods of heavier precipitation.”
