CrimeStoppers offering reward for info leading to arrest

IOWA CITY — Iowa City police are investigating a convenience store robbery.

According to police, officers were called to Deli Mart, 525 Highway 1 W, at 11:14 p.m. Sunday for a report of an employee who had just been robbed at gunpoint. The employee told police the suspect demanded property from him, which he turned over to the suspect.

A search of the area did not turn up the suspect, police said. He is described as being 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a lean build and wearing a gray sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of this suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (319) 358-8477.
