North Liberty man accused of threatening woman with a gun

He faces up to two years in prison

NORTH LIBERTY — A North Liberty man is accused of pointing a gun at a woman’s head and threatening to kill her.

North Liberty police said the incident happened around 4 a.m. Oct. 16 in the 100 block of War Admiral Lane. The suspect, Juan M. Martinez-Lopez, 31, also is accused of grabbing the woman by the hair and throwing her to the ground.

Martinez-Lopez faces one count of domestic assault while displaying a weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison.
