IOWA CITY — An Iowa City man faces numerous drug charges after police responded to his apartment for a possible overdose.
According to Iowa City police criminal complaints, officers were called to 332 S. Linn St., Apt. 310, at 2:24 a.m. Sunday for a possible heroin overdose. Police said 22-year-old Collin M. Scott lives at that address, but it is not clear from the criminal complaint if he or someone else in the apartment had overdosed.
Police said there was marijuana in the apartment, as well as a small plastic baggie containing a white residue. The residue was tested and found to be heroin. Two small plastic bags of marijuana were also found on Scott, police said.
Scott admitted to paying $300 for the marijuana, police said.
Scott was arrested and faces two counts of possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
