Cedar Rapids man faces weapons, drug charges

Police say he was found with handgun at Guthridge Park

HIAWATHA — A Cedar Rapids man was found with a stolen gun Wednesday morning, authorities said.

According to the Linn County Attorney’s Office, Isaiah D. Patterson, 19, was found by Hiawatha police in Guthridge Park with three other people. Authorities said Patterson was found with a stolen, 9 mm handgun.

Patterson and the others were “assembled together to promote and use marijuana,” the criminal complaint states.

Patterson faces charges of trafficking stolen weapons, carrying weapons and gathering where controlled substances are used.
