Cedar Rapids man accused of abusing 13-year-old girl

CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man is accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl.

According to a Linn County Attorney’s Office criminal complaint, during a forensic interview at St. Luke’s Child Protection Center, the victim told authorities that 36-year-old Bryan D. Henderson sexually abused her in the kitchen of a Cedar Rapids home in March 2017. Henderson allegedly chose to the kitchen because there were no cameras in that room.

The victim also told police that Henderson showed her pornography on his phone.

Henderson has been arrested and charged with third-degree sexual abuse and dissemination or exhibition of obscene materials to minors.
