Actress Sophia Bush stumps for Clinton in Iowa

'One Tree Hill' star in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids Saturday

IOWA CITY — An actress best known for her role in the television series “One Tree Hill” comes to Iowa this weekend to stump for Hillary Clinton.

Sophia Bush, who now appears as Det. Erin Lindsay on “Chicago P.D.,” makes stops in Davenport, Iowa City and Cedar Rapids on Saturday before heading to Des Moines and Ames on Sunday.

Bush’s Iowa City visit takes place at 1:30 p.m. at a private residence at 1302 Ginter Ave. Register here.

The actress is to appear at 3 p.m. at the Iowa Together Office, 2706 First Ave. SE in Cedar Rapids. Register here.

During the stops, Bush is expected to encourage Iowans to vote early in support of “Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine’s vision of an America that is stronger together and fight back against Donald Trump’s sexist and misogynistic views and comments toward women,” according to a news release.

Bush is an activist who promotes civil rights, environmental protection and education and opportunity for all. The 34-year-old actress rose to fame playing the role of Brooke Davis on “One Tree Hill” from 2003 to 2012.
