Democratic gubernatorial hopefuls to face off

Sunday night's debate will be livestreamed online

DAVENPORT — The Quad-City Times and KWQC-TV have partnered for a debate beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday featuring all six Democratic candidates for Iowa governor.

The two-hour event will broadcast live on KWQC and livestream on kwqc.com. KCRG-TV of Cedar Rapids also will livestream the event on kcrg.com and The Gazette will offer expanded coverage Monday.

KWQC anchor Gary Metivier will moderate. Reporters Morgan Ottier (KWQC) and Ed Tibbetts (Quad-City Times) will constitute the panel and handle the questioning.

“We’re thrilled to be co-hosting this event,” said Times Editorial Page Editor Jon Alexander. “We’re confident that after it’s all said and done, voters in the Quad Cities, and throughout the entire state, will have a better understanding of where each candidate stands on the issues.”
