CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids sheet metal contractor and HVAC installer has new owners.

Waldinger Corp., a mechanical and electrical contractor in Des Moines, announced Tuesday that it has acquired Ladco Inc., based in southwest Cedar Rapids.

All of Ladco’s about 100 employees will continue to work for Waldinger, said Guy Gast, president of Waldinger’s Iowa division.

Doug Hamilton, president of Ladco, will be Waldinger’s Eastern Iowa sheet metal manager. The companies combined will have about 650 employees.

The companies did not disclose the terms of the acquisition.
