William Michael Wilson, 70, of Marion, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with
services at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, at Bible Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Colleen; his son, Blake Wilson; his daughter, Keerlana Wilson; and his siblings, Thomas Wilson, Terri Barnhart, Sandy Neiderhiser, Barbara Armstrong and Wayne Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Wilson.
Bill was born July 23, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Thomas and Wilma (Martin) Wilson. He married Colleen Herrig on July 10, 1976, in Andrew, Iowa. Bill was a design draftsman for Freund-Vector Corp. He was known for being a lovable man with a silly sense of humor. He was a talented artist who enjoyed creating humorous cartoons.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, playing guitar and watching anything to do with Sci Fi. Bill served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
