Cedar Rapids

On Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, our family suddenly
lost Travis, 34, from an apparent heart attack. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion is handling cremation arrangements. They have been wonderful. A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Travis' life.
On Valentine's Day 1982, Travis was a gift of life to Margo (Adams) Thies and Danny L. Thies. Travis was a graduate of Metro High School in Cedar Rapids. He worked for several years at Goodwill Industries doing assembly and stock work. He was an avid Hawkeye fan and watching NFL games. Travis loved our family pumpkin carving parties we have every year. He also loved Thanksgiving and Christmas with all their festivities. He also loved music watching movies, shopping and eating out.
Travis is survived by his sister, Tracy Welsh (Vince); his stepdad, David Wodstrchill (Louann); nieces, Alex and Tori; nephew, Hudson; uncle, Barry Adams (Cheryl); father, Danny Thies of South Dakota; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Margo (Adams) Wodstrchill; grandparents, Buss and Corene Adams; and grandparents, Harry and Evelynn Thies.
Travis will be greatly missed by our family and special friends, Rick and Stacy Welsh and their family, and many others.
Rest in peace in the joys of our Lord and Savior. You will be greatly missed. You were so special to us.
