Stephen Cronbaugh, 72, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the funeral home with visitation one hour before with military rites. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his children, Barbara Wolfe of Davenport, Fla., and Stephen (Jessica) Cronbaugh of Marion; grandchildren, Taryn Kurth of Cedar Rapids, Nikki Wolfe of Cedar Rapids, Miranda Wolfe of Cedar Rapids, Carlie Cronbaugh of Davenport, Fla., Micole Renaas of Cedar Rapids, Dakota Cronbaugh of Marion and Devon Cronbaugh of Marion; great-grandchildren, Jade McKeny and Tysean McKeny, both of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Joel Cronbaugh and David Cronbaugh, both of Iowa City; nephew, Todd Miller of San Jose, Calif.; and nieces, Tara Cronbaugh of North Liberty and Anya Schmitz of Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Stephen was born June 12, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Melvin and Maxine Cronbaugh. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School. Stephen served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion. Stephen enjoyed watching baseball, traveling, camping, playing horseshoes, reading history, playing with his dog Toby and spending time with his family.
