Robert "Bob" Pazour, 85, lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Manor Care.
Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. Cedar Memorial is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bob was born Jan. 8, 1931, in Cedar Rapids to Joseph and Julia (Valisch) Pazour. After graduating from high school, he served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following his military service, Bob was united in marriage to Dolores Pickerill on Sept. 19, 1954.
Bob owned and operated Pazour Motor Sports for over 60 years. Motorcycles were his passion. He was the Iowa State Dirt Track Champion in both 1956 and 1957, and he was a charter life member of the American Motorcyclist Association. Bob also was a longtime member of the Shriners.
He is survived by two sons, Patrick Pazour of St. Louis, Mo., and Timothy Pazour of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores, in 2010; brothers, Joseph and Chuck; and sister, Julia.
