Marvin Mehaffy was born Sept. 24, 1963, in Muscatine, Iowa, to Ken and Jeanette (Gahn) Mehaffy. He attended United Township High School in East Moline, graduating in 1982. He met Karen Randall while she was bartending at Randall's Tap. They were married Nov. 14, 1987, in Mount Vernon. Marv was an outdoorsy guy, and enjoyed trout fishing, camping (especially at Paradise Valley), cooking chicken and fish over the fire, driving the four-wheeler with Chico and kayaking. He loved riding his Harley motorcycle, playing his guitar and spending time with his children and grandchildren, whom he was very proud of. Marv was the best, hands-on grandpa, and a true role model to the kids. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Marvin was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Dave Randall; special brother-in-law, Michael Parrish; grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.
