Larry Barger, 55, died suddenly Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Larry was born in Cedar Rapids, the son of John and Jean Barger, on May 4, 1962. He graduated from Jefferson High School and was a pipefitter for Plumbers and Pipefitters
Survivors include his daughter, Laura Barger; mother, Jean Barger; and the love of his life, Sandy Hansen. Also surving are his siblings, Bob (Brenda) Barger, Jim Barger, Beth (Mark) Vozenilek, Brenda (Dale) Cooley, Rebecca (Mark) Meier, Christie (Patrick) Vozenilek and Jennifer Smith; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John R. Barger, in 2004.
Larry was a lifelong fan of the Denver Broncos, Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs and NASCAR, specifically Kevin Harvick.
There will be a Celebration of Life from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Plumbers and Pipefitters Training Hall, 5101 J St. SW, Cedar Rapids.
