LaVonna "Bonnie" L. Krull, 81, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Aug. 20, 2016, at Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls following a long illness.
Bonnie was born July 17, 1935, to James C. and Laura A. Bowers at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. She graduated from Brandon High School. Bonnie married Wayne V. Corrigan in Independence, and they were married from 1954 to 1982. During that time, Bonnie was a longtime employee of the Cedar Rapids school district.
The love of dancing brought Bonnie and Don Krull, of Cedar Falls, together. They were married in December 1999. They continued happily dancing through life together for the past 17 years.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Don; five sons, William Corrigan of San Rafael, Calif., Thomas Corrigan of Napili, Maui, Hawaii, Jeff Corrigan of Marion, Roger Corrigan of Denver, Colo., and Bob Corrigan of Solon; three stepdaughters, Julie (Dan) Morris and Michelle (Brian) Cook of Cedar Falls and Cindy (Miles) Johnson of Fayetteville, Ark.; four grandchildren; nine step- grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara (Lytell) Kiler of Brandon and Janice (Robert) DeWitt of LaPorte City.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Laura; and her brother, Larry Bowers.
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Bonnie's life.
