Irma attended Cedar Rapids schools and graduated in January 1934 from Grant High School. She also attended and graduated from Cedar Rapids Business College, where she met Keith A. Dennis of Center Point. They were married April 9, 1938, and made their home in Center Point. To this union, two daughters, Kaye Marie and Dee Ann, were born. Keith passed away Feb. 26, 1950, from an aneurysm of the aorta. Irma participated in several organizations for the handicapped.
Mother didn't measure her wealth in money or material things, but in her love of God, family and a multitude of friends. She faced a lot of challenges in her 100 years, but lived her faith in God and came through it all with a smile on her face. She always practiced acceptance and forgiveness may this be her lasting legacy to her family.
