Bruce M. Stanley, 57, of Cedar Rapids, peacefully passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2016.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour before the service beginning at 10 a.m.
Interment will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Bruce was born March 31, 1959, to Marvin L. and Mary Connelly Stanley in Fairfield, Iowa. He attended Fairfield High School and graduated with the class of 1977. He continued his education at Coe College in Cedar Rapids.
Bruce's life revolved around music; he was a talented percussionist and guitarist, playing with local bands, and he worked for several music companies, including 16th Avenue Music and Relic Records, both of Cedar Rapids. He was employed by Siegel's Jewelers in Cedar Rapids at the time of his passing.
He had a passion for animals, enjoyed spending time with his friends, and was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Bruce was a kindhearted person who touched many lives and influenced many people with his dedication and love for music. He was a great friend.
He will be missed by his mother, Mary Connelly Stanley of St. Charles, Mo.; sister, Barbara (Riley) Bowlin of St. Charles; his nephews; great-niece; aunts, uncle, cousins and a large family of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; infant sister, Mary Beth; and grandparents.
