Alan Nathan Goldstein, 39, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Sept. 26, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Eben Israel Cemetery by Rabbi Tod Thalblum. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his father, Gary Goldstein of Cedar Rapids; his sister, Chava (Stephen) Rosenbaum of Chicago; and best friend, Heather Armstrong of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Goldstein, in 2015.
Alan was born Dec. 3, 1976, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Gary and Katherine (Kalnitsky) Goldstein. He graduated from Washington High School and attended college. He was a member of Temple Judah. Alan enjoyed the theater, music and tinkering on the computer.
