Man found dead Sunday afternoon identified

CEDAR RAPIDS — Cedar Rapids police have identified the man found dead Sunday afternoon.

According to Cedar Rapids public safety spokesman Greg Buelow, 77-year-old Joseph F. Botello was found dead outside of 505 33rd Ave. SW at 2:38 p.m. Sunday. Police are awaiting autopsy results in order to determine the cause and manner of Botello’s death.
