Cedar Rapids runoff elections: Watch results come in live

Polls close at 8:00 p.m. for a runoff election that will determine a mayor between candidates Monica Vernon, 60, a businesswoman and former Cedar Rapids City Council member, and Brad Hart, 61, a local attorney who’s making his first run for public office. And residents of Cedar Rapids’ council District 5 will choose a council member between candidates Justin Shields, 75, the incumbent and a retired Quaker Oats worker, and challenger Ashley Vanorny, 32, an internet technology professional.

We will enter results as they come in and have a vote breakdown by precinct later on.
