Video Sessions -- Coordinators and coordination

Iowa's coordinators in video and transcript form

Let's get right to the stuff. Offensive coordinator Greg Davis went first, so his stuff first.

Question on uptempo offense, QB Jake Rudock and the other QBs, at 5:35 Davis is asked about TEs.

On TE C.J. Fiedorowicz, internal clock on when to pull the plug on one part of the game or the other, is Iowa getting what it wants out of the quick passing game and on WR Damond Powell. Davis thinks his role will grow.

On Rudock, something on KMM, on recruiting to fit the system (is that where Iowa is? Dantonio said on the B1G teleconference his players have been recruited to fit their D system, I don't know, plausible), on what they want to get out of RB Damon Bullock, on can't read my writing (maybe Weisman) and leadership and Rudock.

And defensive coordinator Phil Parker:

Feels better about the defense this year. Numbers better across the board. Not digging the nickel package because LB Anthony Hitchens comes off the field. At around 4 minutes, Parker breaks down blitz percentages this year. Seems higher than last, but he doesn't answer that question.

Something about making plays, I think it was a question about Ohio State. One the D-line. More on LB Hitchens. Has the DL's improvement helped the LBs? On safety play. Wants the secondary to get better. On every player needing a different level of engagement on coaching.

On CBs Jordan Lomax and Desmond King. On pass rush specialists (DE Nate Meier and LB Quinton Alston). On OSU's efficiency on offense. Vs. uptempo O. On true frosh Reggie Spearman. On being back on the sideline (Parker called the D from the press box last season).
