Julie Gilmore (see photo) and Cheryl Mahoney (see photo), nurses at St. Lukeís Hospital, were named to the Iowa Nursesí Association list of 100 Great Iowa Nurses for 2013. They will be honored at the 100 Great Iowa Nurses celebration May 5 in Des Moines.

Forrest and Michelle Moore, owners of Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt in Cedar Rapids, received the national Spoon Award for highest sales and for their community outreach programs and donations in the community.

The American Advertising Federation: Cedar Rapids-Iowa City has received two national awards for club achievement. The club placed third in the categories of club operations and membership.

Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area, covering 37 counties in northeast Iowa, has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Land OíLakes Foundation to help fund the Heritage Areaís 2013 communication and awareness programs.
