HIAWATHA — Conference Technologies Inc. of St. Louis is entering the Iowa market with the hiring of key sales and technical staff from Pratt Audio-Visual & Video of Hiawatha.
CTI, a system integrator, will have locations in Hiawatha, Davenport and Des Moines. John Laughlin, president and chief executive officer of CTI, said in a news release that advancement into the Iowa market is part of his company's strategic vision.
"Pratt’s reputation in Iowa as an established AV integrator makes this a sound move," Laughlin said. "This expansion will generate new opportunities for our partners and clients."
Cindy Egger, president and co-owner of Pratt Audio-Visual and Video, 1950 Boyson Rd., did not respond to phone calls requesting additional comment.
Pratt Audio-Visual & Video, a family-owned company was established by Frank Pratt in 1939 in Cedar Rapids and staffed offices in Des Moines and Davenport. The company moved to Hiawatha after its corporate office at 200 Third Ave. SW was severely damaged by the June 2008 flood.
As late as January 2012, Pratt Audio-Visual & Video had 60 employees and also staffed offices in Omaha and Lincoln, Neb.CTI, a full-service audio, video an information technology integrator, offering systems design, engineering, installation, rental and post sales support services, has has nine locations in seven Midwestern states. The company has customers in the served customers in the corporate, education, healthcare and government markets.
