While everyone is talking about the 2016 election we are ramping up for the 2014 governor race in Iowa Terry Brandstad is looking for another term Chet Culver has said he is going to run and now Bruce Braley is thinking about it. Greg Hughes and us members of his campaign staff announced the next day after the last election he would be running for governor. Now with the further divide and discourse in our nation it is time to bring the common person back to power in the government. Greg Hughes would do that for one he supports reforming the Child Support system to make it fair and easily managed. By turning it into a private system compliance of those ordered to pay can be made sure of. Payments processed timely and if a person's income changes the paperwork to get it reduced and the time it takes to process it will be much quicker. Currently it can take 6 months to process a change meanwhile the back child support piles up. This results in people losing their license and having to spend longer to be caught up. They run the risk of Jail time for example Kelly was a disabled veteran that fell behind on his child support due to a lay off. As soon as he found work he made his payments current however he was still sentenced to sixty days in jail for being behind on his support although he was current. Then they tried to add more time on his sentence for being behind while he was in jail. Greg was able to help him to get out of jail. Another veteran that Greg helped was forced to pay over ninety percent of his disability pay to child support leaving him with just a little over $100 a month to live on. This forced him to have to live at home with his parents. Greg is working to help get this reduced to a reasonable level. He is also fighting for parentís right, and veteranís rights to have housing and quality medical care. We will be ramping up Greg's campaign and working to get a start ahead of the parties but we need your help please join us at facebook and like his page .
