Cedar Rapids-based phone app creator chosen as top startup
RecBob was selected as the top startup to watch in 2013 by the Des Moines Register and Social Driver, a digital company based in Washington D.C.
The app was launched in October 2012 as a means to manage adult rec sports teams. The app organizes rec teams for players, regardless of their sport or location.
“We are building a unique and simple way to make sports after work more fun,” CEO and co-founder John Schnipkoweit said in a statement.
Other companies Social Driver mentioned along side RecBob include, Crowdtilt, Fab, Coursera, KISSmetrics and Sponsorfied. The Des Moines Register’s Iowa startups to watch are, Bawte, BitMethod, Goodsmiths and Tikly.
