Mercy Medical Center names three new members to its Board of Trustees
CEDAR RAPDIS, IA (Sept. 24, 2012) – Mercy Medical Center has named three new individuals to its Board of Trustees. They are: John-Paul Besong, Chris DeWolf and Nancy Kasparek.
John-Paul Besong is senior vice president and Chief Information Officer for Rockwell Collins. He joined the company as lead chemical engineer in 1979 and has held various management positions. His community involvement includes: Member of the Board of Directors of Iowa Public Television Foundation; Member and past Chair of the Executive Board of Technology Association of Iowa (TAI); Member of CIO Advisory Board; Member of HP Enterprise Services Client Advisory Board; Member of the Board of Directors of Lean Aerospace Initiative (LAI); and Sponsor of the National Black Society for Engineers.
Chris DeWolf is president & CEO and co-owner of Lil’ Drug Store Products, Inc. Prior to joining Lil’ Drug Store Products, he held a number of leadership positions within the General Electric Company (GE). He is involved in the community as: Member of the Board of Directors for The Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA); Member of the Board of Trustees of Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa; Chair of the Board of Directors of The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation; and member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO), where he currently serves as chair of the Iowa Chapter.Nancy Kasparek is a regional president at US Bank with responsibilities for the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Region. She currently sits on the Board of Trustees for Mount Mercy University, Junior Achievement, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Juvenile Diabetes. She serves on the Board of Directors for Four Oaks; The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation as past chair; and Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance, where she is past chair of the Chamber of Commerce. She is also a commissioner for the Five Seasons Commission and past appointee for the Governor's Small Business Advisory Board.
