While games don't start until later in the month, August marks the start of football season, and KCRG and The Gazette feel your excitement.
KCRG kicks off its football show schedule this coming Sunday, August 5 on KCRG 9.2 with a "High School Coaches Corner," featuring Tony Lombardi, of Cedar Rapids Washington, Mike Morrissey, of Cedar Rapids Prairie, and Joe Hadachek, of Union. The three coaches will talk with "The Gazette" reporter K.J. Pilcher about how the coaching profession has changed over time, concussions, the start of the 2012 season and much more. "High School Coaches Corner" goes live at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday night and is a half-hour production.
Then, just 24 hours later, on Monday, August 6 at 6:30 p.m. on KCRG 9.2, "On Iowa Live" returns for its second season, this one being live at The Fieldhouse Southwest on Williams Road in Cedar Rapids. Come out and join TV9's Scott Saville and "The Gazette" reporters Scott Dochterman, Mike Hlas and Marc Morehouse as they break down Iowa football media day and much more in an hour-long show. Show up to The Fieldhouse Southwest for giveaways and the KCRG "On Iowa Live" food special of the night. Plus, if you're watching at home, tweet questions at the show's official hashtag - #OnIowaLive - and your questions may be answered live on the show.
