Vietnam tribute will be on display during motorcycle rally at Iowa Speedway
A smaller version of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., honoring service members who served during the Vietnam War, will be in central Iowa next week. "The Wall That Heals" will be displayed at the Iowa Speedway during the Iowa Grand Motorcycle Rally July 25-28.
The travelling tribute will be displayed in Des Moines and then transported to the Newton track, escorted by NASCAR legend and Iowa Speedway, Rusty Wallace, and other local officials.
“We are extremely honored and humbled that The Wall That Heals will be on display at the Iowa Grand Motorcycle Rally,” said Iowa Speedway CEO Doug Fritz. “We have a memorial ride planned, along with several other military tributes throughout the rally. Honoring Veterans is one of the best things we can do as a society, so we invite everyone out to see this moving memorial and be a part of the escort ride to Iowa Speedway.”
