Interfaith leader to address politics, religion at Coe forum

Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy, national president of Interfaith Alliance, will speak dangers he sees in politics and religion becoming increasingly intertwined Nov. 30 at Coe College in Cedar Rapids.

His talk, "But God said I could be President! Is God confused or are we?," will be presented at 7 p.m. in Hickok Hall, Kesler Lecture Hall on Coe Road just north of First Avenue. The event is free and open to the public.

The public forum is an event of the Interfaith Alliance of Iowa. Additional co-sponsors of the Cedar Rapids Forum include the Coe College Office of the Chaplain, Cornell College Chaplainís Office, COEXIST (Coe College student interfaith organization), Inter-Religious Council of Linn County, Children of Abraham Dialogue Group of Linn County, and Faith in Iowa.
